The Benefits of Rideshare Ad Company Partnerships

Ridesharing is big business around the globe. Based on statistical data, the top three ridesharing countries are China, the United States, and the United Kingdom, respectively. Notable rideshare providers include Uber, Lyft, and minicabs. In 2016 alone there were approximately 40 million active rideshare passengers each month. Around the world, assorted companies took note of this popular mode of transportation and realized it was an untapped resource for marketing.

What Assorted Ad Agencies Realized

People searching for an alternative mode of transportation were not the only ones to take note of the new rideshare service. Companies such as Viuer recognized that rideshare vehicles were an untapped resource for advertising agencies. They envisioned how the popular mode of transportation would be an invaluable tool for advertising purposes.  With that in mind, Viuer created an in-vehicle advertising platform that ad agencies could utilize to get their ads in front of their client base.  Through the simple installation of iPads and/or tablets advertising agencies have a larger opportunity to reach out to current and potential customers.

When digital media agencies use Viuer’s platform they can have their ads placed in front of passengers when being transported by rideshare vehicles. Passengers can see ads related to their location and businesses in the vicinity with even more accuracy, courtesy of geo fencing. Geo fencing is a digital marketing tool that is highly effective in pinpointing a smartphone user’s geographic location. For passengers using the tablets and/or iPads installed in rideshare vehicles by Viuer those locations are even more accurate. Furthermore, when passengers choose to interact with the ads that show up on the in-vehicle devices, or their personal smartphones, this increases the number of impressions and conversions for those ads. When this occurs, the companies displaying their ads in rideshare vehicles can increase their bottom line.

Rideshare Expansion & Its Impact on Ad Agencies

As the number of rideshare drivers around the world enters the hundreds of thousands, and users in the billions, the opportunity for increased audience reach is extensive. Marketing teams and ad agencies can utilize direct advertising, with the ever increasing rideshare fleets, to get their ads seen by a much broader audience.  They also have the capabilities to get very specific in their targeting of current and potential customers.

Viuer and other rideshare ad agencies are realizing the best way to capitalize on this new marketing arena is to work together. Viuer has already partnered with an assortment of marketing platform groups, ad agencies and rideshare companies to maximize audience reach. Through a joint effort between these groups the potential for everyone to obtain their advertising and financial goals increases exponentially.

Rideshare Users Benefit

When companies expand their marketing reach and increase their conversion rates and number of impressions they are making gains. There is another group that benefits tremendously from in-vehicle rideshare advertising, the passengers. Passengers that turn to Uber, Lyft and the like have the ability to reap the rewards of this new form of digital marketing. Rideshare passengers who interact with direct ads have the ability to earn free items, discounts, and other perks for local establishments.

As long as rideshare advertising companies partner together in an effort to expand their reach, everyone involved in the process benefits.

Positive Implications of Auto Ads when Traveling

Have you ever traveled to a city on vacation or business, even a spontaneous trip, and had no clue what to do or where to go? You might go into a local gas station, or ask the desk clerk at your hotel accommodations for recommendations on places to eat. Perhaps you want to know where to go shopping, or what fun activities to do with the family. You are bound to get some recommendations. In hotels you can typically find a display with dozens of assorted pamphlets that outline different areas of interest in the area. Those are all great options, but it might not be the solution you need.
An Unlikely Solution
There are options out there to help you find the venues and activities that will make your trip ideal. Word of mouth is great, so are those handy little pamphlets, but one of the most helpful resources out there is found in ridesharing advertising.
Imagine for a moment that you are on a business trip. You do not know the area and do not want to deal with traffic or getting lost so you contact Uber. Your Uber driver will transport you to and from wherever you need to travel. If they are involved with companies such as Viuer, you will have the opportunity to experience in-vehicle advertising.
Many ride-sharing companies are implementing auto ads into their vehicles. This is possible through the installation of tablets or iPads. These mobile devices are available for the passenger to use throughout their time in the vehicle. With companies such as Viuer, those mobile devices will feature assorted ads in which the passenger can interact. Passengers using these tablets or iPads in new cities will have the opportunity to get personalized information and deals for local businesses.
Through simple interaction with the mobile device a stranger visiting in a new town might be granted a great deal on a great restaurant only locals know about. The geo-targeted ads could also alert the passenger to a local business that suits their entertainment or business needs. In another case, someone visiting a new city might want to look up specific businesses anonymously from the iPad provided.
The Deals You Want Are At Your Fingertips
Whether you are turning to ridesharing vehicles because you are in a strange city, you do not own a car, or your car is temporarily out of commission deals a plenty await. By spending a little time looking at the installed tablet in an Uber, the passenger has the opportunity to get discounts, freebies, and other items during their trip. It only takes a bit of interaction to get targeted ads for the things you may, or may not, be looking for while out.

Mobile Advertising. Everyone wins!

Reading the title you might be asking yourself, “How can everyone win when it comes to mobile advertising.” Simply put, everyone involved in mobile advertising gets something from the process. There are companies, such as Viuer and We Are Nexen, who work with assorted brands, as well as ridesharing providers Uber and Lyft, to get mobile-ads to passengers. The brands get exposure geared to a specific target, the drivers get compensated for offering rideshare advertising, and Viuer and We Are Nexen, get compensated for helping the other parties involved.
How Does This Work?
Plainly speaking, small and large companies need to get the word out there in order to get customer engagement. Radio, print, and television ads can get the word out about assorted products and services but in the high tech world we live, that is just not enough. Many major brands are turning to in-vehicle advertising.
Auto ads start with finding the correct digital media agency. When a brand finds the right agency they can pair up with the likes of a provider of beacon ads, or tablet advertising. Ridesharing services, such as Uber and Lyft, have already incorporated both of these forms of technology into their vehicles.
The Passenger
The passengers that utilize these ridesharing services are the ultimate winners when it comes to mobile advertising. Since they are not driving they have the opportunity to either use the tablet or iPad provided in most ridesharing vehicles, or they can use their own mobile device.
With beacons, such as those provided by the likes of We Are Nexen, the passenger is able to get personalized engagement from brands for out-of-home advertising. This is possible through a Bluetooth signal that the beacon sends out to the passenger’s mobile device. The passenger gets personalized 1 on 1 engagement with a brand where they can get free items, or discounts in exchange for watching videos, reading something, or making an initial purchase.
When it comes to Uber advertising, companies like Viuer offer brands with the ability to provide geo-targeted ads to passengers. Compelling and engagement driven ads are visible on the installed tablets or iPads in the Uber vehicles. The passenger might see a coupon for a local restaurant, movie house, or even Starbucks. The passenger can choose to engage with the ads in order to receive something free or discounted. The best part about this type of mobile ads is that they are not random, they are specifically designed to include businesses in the general area of where the passenger is picked up and ultimately dropped off.
Through the beauty of modern technology, potential consumers can reap the rewards of ads that are more individual focused and not mass media focused. Instead of randomly surfing the web, social media, or interacting with friends when going from point A to point B, passengers now have the opportunity to get deals, freebies, and other assorted bargains for minimal engagement on their mobile device.

Automotive Advertising: The wave of the future?

People need to get from point A to point B. Most people find that owning their own vehicle is the ideal way to accomplish this endeavour. Other people find the cost of owning a vehicle is out of their budget. These individuals turn to public transportation, biking, taxi cabs, and most recently, on-demand ridesharing services, such as Uber and Lyft. When it comes to the likes of Uber and Lyft, car owners also turn to the ridesharing service when they are unable to drive their own vehicle home from one location to another.

Car Advertising to a Captive Audience

Companies, such as Viuer, have come to the realization that advertisers can benefit from the captive audience that is an Uber or Lyft passenger. How is this possible? With the advent of mobile devices, such as cell phones, tablets, and iPads, as well as mobile data including vehicle-embedded 4G LTE broadband internet, digital ads can be placed inside Uber and Lyft vehicles.

Drivers of these Uber and Lyft vehicles can opt to incorporate in-vehicle advertising into their automobiles. This is possible through the installation of one or more iPads or tablets into the vehicle that the passengers would have the ability to use. The iPads or tablets would feature specific ads provided by rideshare advertising companies to the Uber or Lyft drivers.

The in-vehicle advertising is not the same as commercials on a standard television. The ads featured are not random. The ads are directly related to a passengers pick-up and drop-off points. Furthermore, the iPads or tablets installed in rideshare vehicles will feature a GPS map. The passenger will see assorted images and videos displayed on the screen throughout their trip. They have the option to select one of the images to get a better view of the specific ad. In many cases, the ad might offer the passenger with a discount on their ride, or a discount or coupon code for a specific business establishment along their travel route.

One such example might be a local coffee house offering a free cup of coffee with the purchase of a pastry if the passenger asks their driver to stop at that specific coffee house. The possibilities are endless when it comes to what companies choose to use in rideshare advertising. The information and data collected will provide companies with marketing analysis essential for the creation of the most relevant ads and promotions for their customers.

Companies, such as Viuer, who are making Lyft and Uber advertising a reality, have the potential to change the marketing strategies implemented globally. Marketing teams will have the ability to further target their consumer audiences, which in turn could lead to greater, leads, impressions, and conversions. The end result of this new form of in-vehicle advertising is benefits to the consumers.

Why is having Ads/Apps inside rideshare vehicles a big deal for your business?

Uber is growing so quickly that their name, which is German for “Super” has become a verb. For example, the phrase I am “Ubering” to the office” or “I will take an Uber” are now really common phrases. Uber claimed to have an approximate 500,000 individual users only in London. Additionally, in London alone, they are expecting to have over 42,000 drivers by March of next year. By taking into consideration our statistical average after interviewing over 100 individual drivers, we concluded that there is an average of 1.5 passengers per trip and an average of 20 trips/day. This translated into 400 trips/mo assuming 20 working days, equates to a total potential of 25,200,000 viewers/mo.

Looking at global statistical data provided by Uber in the Article pulished by (http://www.forbes.com/sites/ellenhuet/2014/12/17/uber-says-its-doing-1-million-rides-per-day-140-million-in-last-year/), we can assume a total global potential of 1.35 billion viewers/impression per month.
